Node.js hosting with familiar cPanel management

Run compatible Node.js applications on HTech Solutions hosting using CloudLinux Node.js Selector and Phusion Passenger. Manage your application from cPanel and choose resources appropriate for your project.

  • Passenger application runtime

Application hosting

The tools you need to deploy and manage your app

A practical environment for compatible server-side JavaScript projects without having to manage an entire server.

Node.js Selector in cPanel

Create and configure an application, select an enabled runtime, set its application root and startup file, and manage it through the hosting control panel.

Passenger integration

CloudLinux Node.js Selector uses Phusion Passenger to run compatible applications and connect them to the web server. This is not an unrestricted root-access environment.

Modern hosting foundation

NVMe storage, CloudLinux account isolation, Imunify360 security, free SSL for supported domains, and available backup tools support your application.

Runtime compatibility

Choose a Node.js version available on your server

Available versions are determined by the Node.js packages installed and enabled through CloudLinux. The version selector in your cPanel account shows the runtimes available to you.

Verified LTS versions available on our production server:

  • Node.js 22.23.2 (configured default)
  • Node.js 24.19.0

The production inventory was checked on September 6, 2026. Older runtimes, including Node.js 6 through 20, are also installed for legacy compatibility, but those release lines are end-of-life upstream and are not recommended for new applications. Existing applications should be reviewed for migration to a maintained LTS release.

Contact support before ordering if your application requires a particular Node.js version. We will check the current server configuration and any compatibility requirements rather than promise a version that may not be enabled.

Getting started

A straightforward application setup

Your application's dependencies, startup behavior, and resource needs should be checked before deployment.

1. Prepare your project

Choose a compatible Node.js runtime, review your package.json and dependencies, and prepare an application startup file and environment configuration.

2. Configure in cPanel

Open Setup Node.js App, create the application, select its runtime and application root, and configure the startup file and environment variables using the available controls.

3. Deploy and test

Upload your project, install supported dependencies, start or restart the application, and test its public URL, logs, and required integrations.

Choose the right environment

Designed for compatible web applications

Node.js hosting is suitable for many web applications, APIs, and server-side JavaScript projects, subject to the selected plan's resources and the Passenger environment.

Applications that require root access, custom system services, unrestricted background processes, unusual network ports, or a particular server configuration may need a different hosting environment. Some frameworks and module formats also require compatibility adjustments.

Hosting options

Choose a plan that fits your application

Node.js Application Hosting is available through eligible cPanel hosting accounts. Select a plan based on storage, traffic, memory, CPU, and the requirements of your application. Node.js support does not mean every application or dependency is guaranteed to run.

Questions, answered

Everything you need to know

Does HTech Solutions support Node.js?

Yes. Eligible hosting accounts support compatible Node.js applications through CloudLinux Node.js Selector and Phusion Passenger. Available versions and resource limits depend on the server and selected plan.

Where do I manage a Node.js application?

Sign in to your HTech Solutions client area, open the hosting service and access cPanel. Use Setup Node.js App, where enabled, to configure and manage the application.

Which Node.js versions are available?

Our September 6, 2026 production inventory confirms Node.js 22.23.2 and 24.19.0 as available maintained LTS releases, with Node.js 22 configured as the default. Older versions from 6 through 20 are also installed for legacy compatibility but are end-of-life upstream and are not recommended for new applications. Check the version selector in cPanel or ask support to confirm the current list.

Does Node.js hosting include root or SSH access?

Node.js application management does not include root access. Any terminal or SSH availability depends on the selected plan and account permissions. Contact support if your project requires command-line access or custom server configuration.

Can I host an Express, Next.js, or other framework application?

Many Node.js frameworks can run in a compatible Passenger environment, but support depends on the framework version, startup requirements, dependencies, module format, and resource needs. Contact support with your requirements before ordering.

Can my application use a database?

Supported hosting accounts provide database-management tools. Compatibility depends on the database service, application requirements, and selected plan. Confirm any specific database or external-service requirements before deployment.

Can you migrate an existing Node.js application?

We can help review an eligible migration involving application files, supported databases, and configuration. Custom dependencies, secrets, background processes, and third-party integrations may require additional work or a different environment.

Is Node.js hosting the same as a VPS?

No. Shared cPanel application hosting provides a managed environment with account-level resource limits. Projects requiring root access or custom system services may need a dedicated server or another suitable environment.
